A travel website called RoadSnacks has compiled a new ranking of Illinois cities based on the "snobbiness" of their residents.
The site analyzed 341 of the state's most populous areas, and came up with a top 10 list that included only Chicago suburbs.
Criteria for the ranking included the number of private schools in the area, the income level of residents, home prices, the number of college-educated residents, the number of art galleries, the number of Whole Foods stores and the number of theaters, playhouses, opera houses and performance arts centers.
The top 10 "snobbiest" cities in Illinois, according to RoadSnacks, are:
1. Glencoe
2. Winnetka
3. Oak Brook
4. Wilmette
5. Long Grove
6. Lincolnshire
7. Barrington
8. Lake Bluff
9. Northfield
10. Highland Park
