Security personnel at Chicago’s O’Hare airport conducted a training exercise Thursday afternoon that was designed to simulate what would happen if there were a security breach at the airport.

Then, lo and behold, there was a security breach at the airport.

The training was suspended so that personnel could attend to a suspicious package that was found at terminal 2.

The terminal was not evacuated, but car traffic was temporarily shut down. An American Airlines spokeswoman said some passengers were delayed boarding their flight, but otherwise flights were not affected.

No word on what was in the suspicious package.
