A thief picked the wrong tourist to try and rob.
The tourist, a man from California, was walking on the 800 block of North Michigan Avenue Friday when 26-year-old Allen McCrone grabbed his $7,000 camera and started running, reports the Chicago Tribune.
The victim and two construction workers started chasing McCrone down Chestnut street and was finally caught by security guards and police on Rush street. Police called paramedics to treat the victim for buising to his shoulder.
According to the Tribune, McCrone, who is from Ohio, was identified by the tourist's wife and sister and was arrested. On Saturday a judge set bail for McCrone at $60,000 and remains at Cook County Jail.
