A 3-year-old girl was killed Wednesday when a bookcase fell on her in her home, police said.
Officials responded to a home in the 1900 block of Clover Road just before 11 a.m. for a report of a child injured by a bookcase.
The toddler was taken by ambulance to Glenbrook Hospital while first responders tried to resuscitate her, but the young girl eventually succumbed to her injuries.
