Toddler Falls From 2nd Floor Window

Arrest Made in Toddler's Death

A 2-year old boy is in good condition after falling from a second floor window in Chicago's Gresham neighborhood.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning at the family's home in the 8400 block of South Gilbert Court , according to Chicago Police News Affairs.

Other family members were home, but sleeping at the time. The toddler was taken to University of Chicago Comers Children's Hospital and treated for cuts to his face, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.

The family recently moved into the residence, which did not have screens on the windows, according to police.

Neglect is not suspected.
