Chicago's fireworks this year may have been a smaller affair but plenty of people still enjoyed them.
After fireworks were canceled around the city, the Navy Pier show was left as the only way to see some pyrotechnics in the city of Chicago.
The two firework shows, one on Saturday night, as part of Navy Pier's traditional summer firework schedule, and one on Monday night celebrating Independence Day, both went off with no issues, with huge crowds both days.
For those who didn't feel like battling the crowds for a spot at this years show, Chris Pritchard put together a timelapse video of firework shows from last summer. The video shows a handful of shows from various locations throughout the city.
