Three Trailers of Refrigerated Meat Stolen in Chicago: Cops

The refrigerated meat products were taken from the Back of the Yards and Little Village neighborhoods

Three trailers full of meat products have been stolen from Chicago’s west and south sides this month, police said.

Police issued a community alert Monday warning that the trailers, which contained "refrigerated meat products," were taken from the Back of the Yards and Little Village neighborhoods within two weeks.

The thefts took place on three separate days at various hours of the day, police said.

The locations include:

  • Sometime between May 1 and May 5 in the 2600 Block of South Western Avenue
  • Around 1:15 a.m. May 12 in the 1500 Block of West 43rd Street
  • Around 4:30 a.m. May 18 in the 4200 Block of South Ashland Avenue
