The fire broke out in a two-story residential building Saturday evening

Three people were injured Saturday evening in a house fire in the Bridgeport neighborhood on the South Side.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at about 8:20 p.m. at the two-story residential building in the 3500 block of South Lowe, authorities said.

The fire started on the second floor of the building, according to Fire Media spokesman Juan Hernandez.

Three people -- two adults and a juvenile, whose genders and ages were not available -- were all taken in good condition to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, police said.

Hernandez said no one else was injured in the blaze.
