Police Bust Pizza-Stealing Perp

Hungry mugger steals from disabled woman

Chicago cops arrested a thief who swiped a slice of pizza from the hands of a hungry disabled woman on the South Side of Chicago over the weekend.

Charles Johnson, 35, who has prior criminal convictions that extend from armed robbery, forgery and burglary, snatched a purse from a 21-year-old girl with cerebral palsy, Cook County State’s Attorney Sam Cervera told the Sun-Times.

He also helped himself to her lunch.

It’s not clear how police caught up with the food snatcher, but surely they grilled the man.  Judge Donald Panarese set bail for Johnson at $150,000.
