The Cubs Have Used Over 1,000 Bottles of Champagne So Far This Season

This year's number is double what Binny's provided for during the 2015 season and post-season

The Chicago Cubs have used a lot of bottles of champagne this season.

Local beverage depot, Binny's, has been supplying the team with champagne for the past two seasons, and according to the tally for the 2016 run culminating in the World Series Wednesday night, the number of bottles used so far sits at 1,200 bottles.

"When the Cubs offered us to be the official champagne provider, we jumped on the opportunity," Hilary Jurinak, communications coordinator for Binny's, said in a statement.

This year's number is double what Binny's provided for during the 2015 season and post-season, according to Jurinak.

Although bottles haven't been provided yet, plans are underway to have some ready in Chicago for a Cubs victory in Game 7.

The Cubs will take on the Indians in Cleveland Wednesday night for the final game of the 2016 World Series.
