Melody LaLuz and Claudaniel Fabien made the most of their first kiss. It lasted nearly two minutes. And it was in front of nearly 500 friends and family - on their wedding day.
"It feels like such a gift," LaLuz told the Chicago Sun-Times. "When you value a kiss, it bemes something of worth."
Saturday, 28-year-old LaLuz married fellow virgin, 30-year-old Fabien at Maranatha World Revival Ministries on the Northwest Side. The couple preach what they practice, working as abstinence educators in the Chicago Public Schools.
"Sex is worth the wait! We believe this and we live out what we teach---it's true that abstinence does work," said LaLuz and Fabien.
LaLuz decided at 16 that she was going to wait for sex until her wedding day. The couple says in a time where casual sex is the norm, their message has inspired thousands of young people to wait too.
The couple is off to the Bahamas for their honeymoon. We assume they won't kiss and tell about the rest of their trip.
