Teens Traveling to Chicago for One Direction Concert Fall Victim to Online Ticket Scam

Two teenagers from Kansas City who bought tickets to Sunday night's One Direction concert at Soldier Field will not attend the show after they discovered their tickets were fake.

The teens said they purchased their tickets on Craigslist for $380 and completed the ticket exchange at Navy Pier on Saturday. When they checked them at a Ticketmaster outlet they were told the tickets were fake.

When they contacted the man who sold them the tickets, the teens said they received a service text in response saying the phone could not receive their message.

"Since the person was selling it has two more (tickets), you should just take precaution and don't end up like we did," one of the teens said.

The victims of the scam said they tried to file a police report, but the officer just told them they should not have purchased the tickets from Craigslist.

Instead of enjoying the concert inside Soldier Field, the fans said they will listen to the music outside of the stadium before returning home.
