Teenager Shot to Death in Rogers Park

Police investigating possible connection to Walgreens Shooting

A 15-year-old boy from Skokie who was found shot to death late Friday near the Evanston border may be related to the Walgreens shooting.

Police found the victim, Anton Sanders, unresponsive with several gunshot wounds around 10:50 p.m. in the 1800 block of West Juneway Terrace.

The medical examiner's office said Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Evanston police, Belmont Area detectives were investigating this shooting along with the fatal shooting of a security guard at a River North Walgreens Friday night and the death from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot to the head of a man in an Evanston alley Saturday.  The man who shot himself in the head in Evanston was believed to have shot the Walgreens security guard, Chicago police said, but they would not say as of Saturday afternoon if the shooting of Sanders was in any way connected to the other two incidents.
