Teenage Couple Shot in Van in Roseland

Both teens are reportedly in stable condition at Roseland Community Hospital

Two teenagers were shot while sitting in their van early Tuesday morning.

The 18-year-old man and 16-year-old girl were sitting in the vehicle around 1:18 a.m. at South Wentworth Avenue in Roseland, police said, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The man was hit in the chest and the girl in the face. Police report the man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and the girl in Roseland Community Hospital.

Both teens are reportedly in stable condition.

No one was in custody as of Tuesday morning. An investigation is under way by Calumet  Area detectives.
