Teen Dies in Englewood Shooting

A teenage boy is dead after a Saturday night shooting in the Englewood neighborhood.

The 16-year-old boy was shot multiple times around 7:30 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Paulina Street, police said.

The boy was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with gunshot wounds to the buttocks and leg, police said.

Officials identified the boy as Frank Hart, 16, who lived on the same block where police say he was shot.  He was pronounced dead at Christ Hospital at 11:30 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

The medical examiner’s office disputed the location of the shooting, saying Hart was shot at 7122 S. Marshfield Ave. Marshfield Avenue is adjacent to Paulina Street.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating, but nobody was in custody Sunday morning.
