Teen Stabs Mom's Boyfriend to Death

A teen stabbed his mother's boyfriend to death.
A South Side teen stabbed and killed his mother's boyfriend last night to protect her from physical abuse.
The teen, whose age has not been revealed, is in police custody after using deadly force to end a fight between the his mom and her beau, Christopher Nettles, 43, in the city's Washington Park neighborhood, police said.
The incident happened around 9:15 p.m., when police were called to the 6000 block of South Michigan Avenue for a domestic disturbance, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines. They found the Nettles's body there.
The victim, who lived with the girlfriend and son, is reported to have gotten into a physical fight with his girlfriend, Gaines said. The son protected his mother and stabbed the boyfriend, Gaines said.
