Teen Shot in Head, Killed on South Side
17-year-old was walking with friends when shots were fired, police said

A 17-year-old was shot in the head Wednesday night in Chicago's Oakland neighborhood, police said.
Dejuan Jackson was walking with friends at about 7:07 p.m. on the 4000 block of South Lake Park Avenue when shots were fired, according to Police News Affairs.
Jackson, of the 3900 block of South Lake Park Avenue according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, was transported to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No one else from the group was injured.
Police would not comment on whether the shooting was gang-related.
