Police took one person into custody in connection with the drive-by shooting of a pregnant woman and a teen boy on Chicago's West Side.

Police said both were shot by a gunman passing by in a mini-van around 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of South Hamlin in the Lawndale neighborhood.

The 19-year-old Indiana woman is in fair condition, according to the Chicago Tribune, and the 16-year-old boy is being treated at the hospital.

Police arrested the driver of a white Plymouth Voyager a short distance away, according to the Tribune.
