The coroner in Lake County, Indiana, hopes to identify a teen girl whose body was found in Gary on Sept. 16, officials said.
The girl, who is believed to be 14 to 18 years old, was found dead in an alley near Pennsylvania Street and 20th Avenue, according to a news release from the Lake County Coroner.
The girl had short black hair, was 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighed approximately 117 pounds. She was wearing a white, light and dark blue Nike windbreaker, an orange/red t-shirt with the words "supergirl power," and the Superman logo on the front.
A forensic artist with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children created sketches to depict what the girl may have looked like.
