A high school teacher in Plainfield has resigned after being accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student, WBBM reports.
Ashley Blumenshine, 27, filed her resignation from Plainfield North High School Tuesday. Police arrested Blumenshine earlier this month when they found her and the boy, partially undressed, in her car behind a Kohl's department store in Plainfield.
Blumenshine taught dance and physical education at PNHS. The district is now moving to revoke her teaching certificate, according to WBBM.
