A South Side man faces three felony gun charges after he allegedly pulled a gun on police officers Monday night.

Javontay Alexander, 18, of the 10400 block of South Wentworth was charged with aggravated assault of an officer with a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.  He also was charged for not having a valid firearm owner's identification card.

Alexander allegedly pointed a gun at police after they were called to his home Monday night for a domestic incident, but he did not fire a shot, according to the Chicago Tribune. Police fired at Alexander, but he was not struck.

Alexander was scheduled to appear in Center Bond court later Wednesday.
