Study Finds Key to Better Sleep, Less Stress, Improved Sex Life

A new study says the secret to sleeping better, having less stress and a higher sex drive involves one simple step

Interested in getting more sleep, improving your mood and even your love life? A new study says the secret to all of these things involves only one simple step: cutting calories.

Researchers at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center recruited more than 200 healthy, non-obese women and men and studied them for two years. Ages of those studied ranged between 20 and 50 years old.

Scientists found that those who were restricted calories by 25 percent reported being in better moods, having less stress, increased sex drive and superior sleep in comparison to adults who didn’t watch their caloric intake.

The authors believe this is the first study to see how long-term calorie restriction affects both physical and psychological well-being.
