Street Closures for the 2019 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle

Street closures begin at 8 a.m. Sunday for most, just before the first wave of runners hits the pavement

As thousands of runners take to the streets in downtown Chicago this weekendforthe 40th Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle, travelers will notice several street closures in the area.

Street closures begin at 8 a.m. Sunday for most, just before the first wave of runners hits the pavement. 

Organizers expect the following streets to be closed to traffic from 8-11:15 a.m. Sunday:

  • Columbus Dr. from Roosevelt Rd. to Grand Ave.
  • Grand Ave. from Columbus Dr. to State St.
  • State St. from Grand Ave. to Jackson Blvd.
  • Jackson Blvd. from State St. to LaSalle St.
  • LaSalle St. from Jackson Blvd. to Randolph St.
  • Randolph St. from LaSalle St. to Franklin St.
  • Franklin St. from Randolph St. to Harrison St.
  • Harrison St. from Franklin St. to Michigan Ave.
  • S. Michigan Ave. (northbound lanes) from Harrison St. to Roosevelt Rd.
  • Roosevelt Rd. (westbound lanes) from Michigan Ave. to Columbus Dr.
  • No parking will be allowed on those streets beginning at 6 a.m. Sunday.

    Lake Shore Drive, Congress Parkway and North Michigan Avenue are expected to remain open. Grant Park will have limited vehicle acess from 6 a.m. Saturday to 3 p.m. Sunday, organizers said.
