‘Stick Figure Bandit' Wanted By FBI

Tall slender man robs a Chase bank.

The FBI is asking the public to help find a wanted bank robber dubbed the "Stick Figure Bandit."

The feds describe the robber as a white male, 5-foot-9 or 6-foot in height, with a slender build that gave him his nickname. He is charged with robbing a Chase Bank within the 500 block of Central Avenue in Highland Park. The robbery occurred at approximately 10 a.m. on Sept. 1.

Witnesses say the robber wore a dark-colored baseball cap, blue jeans and a blue, long-sleeved button-down shirt. He carried a bright yellow backpack with black stripes.

The robber passed the teller a note announcing the robbery and that he had a weapon. The teller turned the money over to him. The "Stick Figure Bandit" walked out of the bank. No weapon was seen.
