The FBI is asking the public to help find a wanted bank robber dubbed the "Stick Figure Bandit."

The feds describe the robber as a white male, 5-foot-9 or 6-foot in height, with a slender build that gave him his nickname. He is charged with robbing a Chase Bank within the 500 block of Central Avenue in Highland Park. The robbery occurred at approximately 10 a.m. on Sept. 1.

Witnesses say the robber wore a dark-colored baseball cap, blue jeans and a blue, long-sleeved button-down shirt. He carried a bright yellow backpack with black stripes.

The robber passed the teller a note announcing the robbery and that he had a weapon. The teller turned the money over to him. The "Stick Figure Bandit" walked out of the bank. No weapon was seen.

The FBI asks if anyone knows more about the incident or the "Stick Figure Bandit" to please contact local police or Chicago FBI at 312-421-6700.
