Steinmetz Assistant Principal Accused of Attacking Student

The incident is under investigation at the school

The assistant principal of Steinmetz Academic Centre has been charged with allegedly dragging and pushing a female student in a hallway of the Northwest Side high school.

Jaime Jaramillo, 30, turned himself into police Thursday night, the Sun Times reports. He was charged with misdemeanor battery for the Jan. 12 attack.

There are no reports about whether the 16-year-old student suffered any injuries, according to the Sun Times.

A school spokeswoman said the incident is under investigation.
