    Illinois State Police want you to put your phone down while you’re driving.

    Troopers with the Distracted Driving Enforcement Detail will be on the lookout Monday for drivers texting along the Kennedy Expressway, ISP announced.

    “Texting while driving is unsafe, irresponsible and, in a split second, its consequences can be devastating,” ISP said in a release Monday.

    Officers working this enforcement detail will be watchful for distracted driving, texting, emailing, internet or related usages while driving.
