Son Treats Elderly Mom as Push-Over, Literally

Man pushes and robs wheelchair-bound mother

Randy Suggs is the type of disgraceful person only a mother could love.

According to police, Suggs pushed his 80-year-old wheelchair-bound mother to the ground and robbed her early Friday morning.

Suggs, 54, allegedly visited his mother's home on the West Side on Thursday and spent most of the day with her. He left just before 12:30 a.m. Friday but returned moments later, the Sun-Times reports.

Moments later Suggs reentered the house wearing a blanket over his head, ostensibly to protect his identity -- from the woman who gave birth to him. He approached his mother and said, "Give me the money, or I'm going to hurt you," before pushing her to the ground and taking $67 from her clothing.

But this bad muther didn't get far. His brother, who was also visiting moms, helped call the cops.

Officers arrested Suggs at 11:10 a.m. Friday and charged him with felony robbery.

Suggs was ordered held on $80,000 bond Saturday.

Clearly, this mother-pusher needs something more than a time-out.
