Slow Moving Police Chase Ends at O'Hare

Armed robbery suspect flees from police

An armed robbery suspect led police on a chase through several suburbs before he was arrested Tuesday.

It all started just before 7 p.m. on the Northwest side of the city when police were trying to talk to the suspect at Diversey and Narragansett and he drove off in his SUV.

The chase never reached high speeds, but several crashes occured at intersections such as Wolf and Oakton next to Maine West High School and at Touhy, just east of Mannheim.

The suspect led police to O'Hare Airport where he was arrested in the Arrivals area.

No one was seriously hurt in the accident. The suspect had a passenger in the vehicle and in the back seat, but police didn't confirm witness reports that there was an infant in the truck.

The name of the suspect was not released.
