Six SIU Students Accused of Sexual Assaults

Students charged in connection with two separate alleged assaults on campus

Six Southern Illinois University students have been arrested and charged in connection with two sexual assaults on the Carbondale campus over the weekend.

According to the St. Louis Dispatch reports four students were arrested Saturday morning and charged with criminal sexual assault in the first incident involving an 18-year-old SIU student

Two additional students were arrested Sunday evening in connection with an alleged sexual assault involving an 18-year-old woman who does not attend the school.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
