Runners shuffle through Chicago by thousands this morning as the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle kicks off Sunday in Grant Park.
Nearly 40,000 early-bird runners are wending through downtown Chicago's streets in pursuit of 8K glory.
But Saturday’s chance of rain showers shouldn’t step on the toes of Sunday’s shufflers as projected sunshine should keep temps in the upper 50s.
For those of you not attending the race, you can watch it live on NBCChicago.com from the start of the Shuffle through the finish line.
Viewers could be graced with sites of one of many celebrities planning to attend the event, including Bears kicker Robbie Gould and Olympic runner Lisa Uhl. Winner of the “Biggest Loser” Danni Allen is also scheduled to compete.
A post-race event will be held on-site immediately after the race featuring live music from the Freddy Jones Band. A post-race participant celebration will also be hosted at The Scout Waterhouse & Kitchen, at 1301 S. Wabash, from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.
