Parents escort their kids home following the shooting.

Shots ran out Wednesday near Washington Park Elementary School on the South Side.

The incident happened as parents were picking up their children at the school located at 110 E 61st St.

Teachers helped students get to the ground during the gunfire.

Nobody was injured in the shooting, but frustration is mounting.

"Very unfortunate that a situation like this broke out, and we have to continue, and I tell people all the time, that we've got to gang up on the problem, not gang up on each other," said activist Pastor Corey Brooks.

Police have not commented on the incident.
