Services Set For Oswego Crash Victims

Funeral services were scheduled for three teens who died in a crash Monday near Oswego

Funeral services have been set for three suburban teens who died Monday in a car crash near Oswego.

Tyler Montgomery and Brian Herrera, both 19 from Plainfield, and 18-year-old Alexis Banuelos of Naperville died when the car they were in collided with a tractor trailer near Oswego in Kendall County.

Police say the teens' car pulled in front of a semi-trailer traveling at least 55 miles per hour. The tractor trailer was full of sand and unable to slow down despite last-second efforts by the driver.

Visitation for Herrera takes place from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home & Crematory, at 24021 W. Royal Worlington Dr. in Naperville. The funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the same location.

Services for Montgomery and Banuelos, who had been dating for the past few years, will be held from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Overman-Jones Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 15219 S. Joliet Rd. in Plainfield.
