Second Watch Party Planned For Jackie Robinson West

South Side-based team square off against Nevada Sunday afternoon

Expect even more spectators Sunday at the city's second official watch party for the Jackie Robinson West All Stars when they play in their second game at the Little League World Series.

City officials announced Friday that the watch party will be held at Jackie Robinson Park, located at 10540 South Morgan Park. The game starts at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast on a big screen.

More than 600 fans, including Mayor Rahm Emanuel and former Bears player Chris Zorich, packed the park Wednesday to watch the team of 11- and 12-year-olds handily beat Lynwood, Washington 12-2 in Williamsport, Penn. The game was ended early due to the mercy rule.

Chicago Park District officials say attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers, but alcohol is not permitted.
