Seasonal Conditions to Return Next Week

Temperatures will rebound to near 70 degrees Sunday

The rain is coming back for another day, but don’t worry Chicago, warmer weather is on the way.

In the midst of a stormy and rainy week, with temperatures well below-average, the city’s dreary weather has left many wondering if nicer conditions will ever be here to stay.

NBC Chicago meteorologist Andy Avalos says to be patient, because there are some warmer temps in store for next week.

Thursday morning’s rain is expected to taper heading into the afternoon hours, with an occasional shower or two lingering into the evening. Light rain is possible overnight into Friday, where the chance for showers continues throughout the day.

Thursday’s temperatures look to reach into the low-50s, and they won’t recover much for Friday.

Saturday will stay chilly with temperatures reaching near 60 with the potential for scattered showers.

But by Sunday temperatures rebound near 70 degrees with some sunshine.

Conditions will continue to improve next week, with temperatures in the 70s, nearing 80 degrees by Wednesday.
