All public schools in East Chicago, Indiana were closed Friday due to a citywide boil order.
A 48-hour boil order went into effect Thursday afternoon after East Chicago officials say its water system briefly lost pressure.
Residents were told they should boil tap water for at least two minutes before using it to prepare food or drinks.
Classes are expected to resume as normal on Monday.
