2015 Chicago Marathon Elite Runner: Sara Hall

Sara Hall of Flagstaff, Ariz., made her highly anticipated marathon debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Marathon, finishing in a disappointing 2:48:02. She rebounded two weeks later at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships with a 20th place finish.

Hall posted a 1:10:49 half marathon this summer, indicating she is ready for redemption in Chicago.

"I am thrilled to finally get my chance to run the Chicago Marathon, something I have wanted to do since being a part of the race with Team World Vision for the first time in 2008,” Hall said. “The flat, fast course, exciting atmosphere, and post-race Charity Village make it a race unlike any I've been to.

I love that the Chicago Marathon not only puts on an excellent elite competition but makes a commitment to support charities, like ours which had its highest fundraising day through the race in 2010. It will be the perfect place to take another shot at the marathon distance and build confidence and refine my focus going into the Olympic year." (Twitter: @SaraHall3)
