Rum Company Offering Free Tattoos in Chicago

North Side tattoo shop expecting a big crowd for Saturday's event

It's not every day you get something for nothing, but Saturday is the exception and this something will last forever.

The folks that make Sailor Jerry spiced rum will offer 101 free tattoos to people who show up between noon and midnight Saturday at Chicago Tattooing and Piercing Company, 1017 W. Belmont, according to the Sun-Times.

The tattoos are designs by the late Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins, the one-time sailor-turned-tattoo artist who owned a famous tattoo shop in Hawaii in the 1930s. Saturday would been his 101st birthday.

Tattoo designs are limited, and they include anchors, hearts and a shark.
