A rollover accident shut down northbound lanes of Interstate 55 during rush hour Wednesday.
The accident happened shortly after 5 p.m. near Bluff Road in Channahon when a tractor trailer overturned.
Crews were seen working to get the driver out of the vehicle and transporting him to a medivac helicopter. It was not immediately clear what caused the crash or if there were any injuries.
