Rick Bayless to Cook for White House State Dinner

Bayless is a favorite of the Obamas

Holy Guacamole!

Superstar Chicago chef Rick Bayless is heading to Washington to moonlight as a White House food ambassador of sorts.

The Top Chef master will cook for the Obamas' second State Dinner when Mexican President Felipe Calderon comes to town May 19, according to the Sun-Times’ Lynn Sweet.

Bayless is famous for his regional Mexican cuisine, and his restaurants, Frontera Grill and the finer Topolobombo, were favorites of the Obamas when they lived in Chicago.
