A 60-year-old man was pronounced dead after being pulled out of Diversey Harbor early this morning in the midst of a crippling blizzard, News Affairs reports.
A Marine unit pulled the man out at 4:36 a.m. The unit received a call about a person in the water at 11:45 p.m., but conditions were too bad to enter the water to search. Searchers returned early this morning.
Investigators aren't sure how the man made it into the water and continue to look into his cause of death.
No other serious injuries have been reported.
