Realtor ‘Viciously' Sexually Assaulted By 2 Men In Indiana

Neighbors say Hammond home has been a problem property in the past

A female realtor was allegedly assaulted last Friday at a scheduled daytime showing of a property in the Robertsdale area of Hammond, Ind., police said.

Hammond police said the woman was "viciously sexually assaulted" by two males, both Hispanic, who she encountered immediately after accessing the home on the 600 block of Burton Court.

Neighbors said that while the neighborhood is normally quiet, there have been past issues with renters in that particular home.

"They had people living in there where they had parties and they were in court all the time," neighbor Mary Bellile recalled.

Another neighbor, Dan Shirk, said the home had also been the scene of a "shootout."

"A husband and wife were shooting at each other," he said.

Regarding Friday's incident, one male suspect was said to be in his late 40s, standing at about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a greying mustache. The second male was in his late 20s to early 30s with a muscular build and a shaved head covered in tattoos.
