Country music stars Rascal Flatts plan to open a restaurant and venue in the north suburbs, according to a the Daily Herald.

The paper reports the eatery would be located at Higgins Road and Route 59 and would include Italian foods with “Southern fusion.”

The venue would host Christian rock and country bands, but would not book metal or rock bands.

"I think the town is excited about it," Village Administrator Robert Palmer told the Herald.

Rascal Flatts opened its first restaurant in Stamford, Connecticut in August and plans to expand across the country, the paper reports.
