Quenneville: Crawford Will Start Game 2 Vs. Predators

After pulling Corey Crawford from Wednesday night's 4-3 victory over the Nashville Predators, there was some question as to whether or not he would get the start in Game 2 of the series.

On Thursday, Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville put that speculation to rest, saying that Crawford would get the start on Friday night, with Scott Darling returning to the back-up role.

"It was kind of a no-brainer," Quenneville told the media of the decision. "He's our starting goalie. He's been our strength all year."

The decision comes a day after Crawford was pulled following the first period of Game 1. In that frame, the goaltender gave up three goals, and Quenneville replaced him with Darling at the start of the second period.

Darling made 42 saves and allowed zero goals after coming in, and the Blackhawks stormed back for a 4-3 victory in double overtime to get the goaltender a victory in his Stanley Cup playoff debut.

Game 2 will take place at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Nashville.
