Pet groomers in Palatine are primping pooches for the big game.

Jimminy Clippers on North Rand Road is offering free Bears-themed stenciling today for dogs -- that means you can get the Bears "C" snipped into your pet's fur. The offer started on Monday, and store manager Mandy Meersman said her groomers have stenciled about 10 dogs so far, from pugs to French Mastiffs.

Other proud pet owners request mohawks for their pups -- blue and orange, of course. Meersman said no one has asked for green and gold.

The salon, which has been in Palatine for decades, also offers toenail painting (blue and orange available) for pets. Every pet that visits Jimminy Clippers leaves the shop sporting a Bears bandana.

Although the stenciling special ends today, Meersman said that the offer could be extended if the Bears win Sunday's game.
