Martin Luther King Jr. Day will affect a number of Chicago public services Monday.

Most suburban schools and all Chicago Public Schools have the day off for the federal holiday honoring the influential leader.

Federal, state, county and city government offices are closed Monday, as well as federal, state and county courts, although Cook County Bond Court remains open.

Only express mail will be delivered today. All post offices are closed.

Most banks are closed for the holiday, as well.

Pace, Metra and CTA will operate on regular weekday schedules on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
