Out-of-town fans who want to stay within steps of Wrigley Field during the Cubs playoffs should prepare to pay up.
Airbnb, the accommodation booking website, has more than a dozen listings near the ball park, but prices have climbed substantially in light of the Cubs' recent success. One three-bedroom apartment listed at Clark and Sheffield will cost visitors $1,250 per night, but it at least comes with a speaker system and "beer in the fridge."
Cubs’ fans can find a cheaper option a couple blocks north near Waveland and Sheffield. For $1,200 per night, guests will be a five-minute walk from Wrigley’s bleachers entrance and the bar Murphy’s Bleachers.
For fans looking to save, Airbnb also has a listing for a hostel near Addison and Clark, where guests will pay $60 to share a room with five others.
