An Oak Park man recently hired as a preschool teacher faces felony child pornography charges after allegedly trading child porn online.
Richard Gertler, 34, who works at a school in the western suburbs, is charged with dissemination and possession of child pornography.
Prosecutors say Gertler was using a file sharing program to trade the images.
Berwyn police conducted a search warrant at Gertler's Oak Park home and confiscated a laptop that allegedly contained more than 300 images of child porn. An additional 25 prints of naked child photos were also recovered from the home, according to prosecutors.
Gertler appeared in court Thursday and was held on $250,000 bond.
