Power Down: No iPads in the Voting Booth

City officials want to discourage people from using tablets and cell phones in voting booths

City officials want you to leave your iPads and cell phones behind when heading to the polls next week.

iPads and other electronic devices now offer applications to help users be informed about the races, but the Chicago Board of Elections want to discourage people from bringing in those electronic devices to the voting booth, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

City officials are concerned people might make calls while voting or take pictures of their votes.

The Board of Election suggests people do their research ahead of time before voting.
