Poll: Mixed Reaction to CTA's Bucket Seats

Chicagoans can't seem to agree on how they like to ride the train.

The Active Transportation Alliance conducted an online survey to gauge reaction to the bucket-style seats on newer CTA rail cars.

Of the more than 2,500 people who participated in the survey, nearly half said they liked the seats, and the other half preferred aisle-facing seats without separation, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Active Transportation Alliance officials plan to share the results with the CTA.

More than 700 rail cars have the newer seats.
