One man suspected of robbing a Jefferson Park storefront Friday is also the suspect in a string of robberies in the Northwest Side this week.
The man reportedly enters the businesses armed with a knife, takes money from the register and flees, police said in a business alert Saturday.
The series of four robberies all occurred after 4 p.m. in nearby areas:
The alert said the robber was wearing a black jacket or black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and gym shoes. He is described as white, 20-30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tal, 170-180 pounds with medium complexion.
